Spaces are allowed; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
A valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
Mix By Mail Options
Choose 'Web Only' if you want access to forums, groups, and profiles, but do not wish to participate in the monthly mix swap.
Personal information
Your address will not be shown to everybody, and will only be used to inform someone where to send their mix. The content of this field is kept private and will not be shown publicly.
I know the list is short, but the long list had over 1400 genres & sub-genres. If you really think there's something that should be on here, email one of the admins and let us know.
Terms and Conditions of Use
* By signing up with Mix By Mail, and not selecting the "Web Only" option, you agree that it's cool that we send an email on a specific day of the month (probably between the 1st and 5th) containing the name and mailing address for the person to whom you should send your mix. Also, you agree that, if you did not select "Web Only", we can send someone your mailing address so that they can send you a mix. If your mix buddy doesn't receive your mix by the specified date, you will get a strike (not a stroke), and if you get two strikes, your role on the site will be changed to "Web Only". You will still be able to access certain parts of the site, you just won't be matched with people to send mixes every month.

* Mix By Mail exists as an online community to get people together and provide an open forum for ideas and discussion related to music.

* If you initially sign up for the site without selecting the "Web Only" option and then later decide that you don't want to be part of the mix swap, email Mariah (mainzoid@mix-by-mail.com) or James (dasium@mix-by-mail.com), or use the contact page, and we will switch you to "Web Only".

* If you cancel your account, which you can do anytime, then you won't receive emails or mixes or any of that stuff and we'll make sure all your info is removed from the site.

* Try not to ruin other people's fun.

* We can delete your account whenever we think there's a good reason to. It has happened to me before that I've been ousted from something when I didn't deserve it, so if you think your account has been unfairly deleted, you can let one of us know and we'll see what's going on.

PRIVACY

None of your info will be sold or shared with anyone else. We're not in this for any money, and the only revenue we might get is from the Google ads in the left section of the screen, which we hope will eventually cover the $10.00 or so it cost to register mix-by-mail.com.
